I prefer soaking saffron in warm milk rather than water because it suits most of the desserts I prepare.
I don’t personally evaluate saffron based on broad wellness promises. I buy it primarily for its distinctive culinary character, and this has worked nicely.
A few long threads go a long way when they’re given enough time to infuse.
My favourite use remains kesar milk with a little cardamom and crushed almonds.
I like allowing the strands to infuse properly instead of adding them directly to a dish. The resulting aroma feels much more evenly distributed.
